Doctor Faustus
4th February – 2nd April 2011
Blackwell's Bookshop, Oxford
In a basement room deep beneath the rolling quad of Trinity College, a scholar is preparing to offer the devil his soul in exchange for absolute power…
The first and now legendary production in the ongoing partnership between Creation and Blackwell’s. Who knew that the bookshop’s basement was a natural amphitheatre? The atmosphere of being surrounded by the sum total of human knowledge, sandwiched between theology and philosophy, was a truly unique experience.
In true Creation style this multi-talented cast of five conjured up demons, apparitions and legendary beauties directed by Creation’s Associate Director Charlotte Conquest.
