Each term, groups work toward putting on their own version of either a Shakespeare play or another classic work of literature and will culminate with a show for family and friends in the final week. Our aim is to introduce children to Shakespeare, classic stories, characters and texts in an imaginative and unique way. As well as developing their performance skills and confidence we seek to inspire a love of literature that will stay with them their whole life.

The Young Company presents the world premiere of Robin Hood: An Inevitable Dystopian Satire, a brand-new play by acclaimed playwright and director Gari Jones.
Set in a near-future world where wealth and power are concentrated in the hands of a privileged few (sound familiar?), this sharp, funny and fiercely contemporary reimagining of the Robin Hood legend follows a group of young people determined to challenge a system that feels rigged against them. As protest movements grow and tensions rise, they must decide how far they’re willing to go to create change.
Combining biting satire, rebellious energy and the timeless appeal of one of Britain’s most enduring folk heroes, Robin Hood: An Inevitable Dystopian Satire asks urgent questions about power, inequality and what happens when a generation refuses to stay silent.
