Creation Catch Up - Watch Three Shows for £10!

15th - 26th January 2025

Pre-recorded video links

As the temperature plummets, why not curl up on the sofa and catch up on Creation shows that you’ve missed…

Buy a £10 ticket for our ‘catch up week’ – 15th to the 26th January – and we will send you links to watch three 2024 shows online :

Boatman Town (Glyn Maxwell’s version of Everyman, premiered by Creation, and filmed on tour in 2024)

Antigone (originally an online, interactive digital performance, filmed during a dress rehearsal)

Extinction Monologues (a playful event, featuring the rep company, and 101 poems and monologues inspired by the 101 most at-risk species on the planet).

You’ll have the whole week to watch them. And you might find there’s some surprise bonus content as well….

How it works:

Buy a ticket for just £10 and you’ll receive links and password by email. You’ll have until midnight on Sunday 26th January to watch the shows (as many times as you like!).  When you click Book Tickets below it will show the date of 26th January, but fear not, as soon as you buy the tickets you’ll be sent the link. You will initially receive a confirmation email, then your ticket with the links on will arrive a few minutes later.

If you are an educational establishment and would like to screen any or all of the shows to students outside of this time frame, get in touch with Sian and we can make a bespoke arrangement.

Find out a bit more about each of the plays here:

Boatman Town by Glyn Maxwell, after Everyman (anon.)

The last day of our sun-soaked hols on a strange island in the Med – and it just had to pour with rain! Yvonn and her friends take shelter in The English Pub, where else? But the service is terrible, the whole place seems dead and Yvonn can hear a child crying… Something bad has happened here, or is it about to happen? And is anyone going to be strong enough, kind enough, good enough, to stop it? One by one Yvonn and her friends will be tested in this modern, drunken, tragicomic take on Everyman, the great medieval morality play.

Creation Theatre staged the world premiere of this play.. It is set in an English pub, so we toured the production to the pubs of Oxfordshire and beyond. Watch the filmed version here.

Antigone

You are cordially invited to join us for a press briefing on the current political situation in Thebes. Watch live as it unfolds…

Creation Theatre created this digital adaptation of Sophocles’ timeless classic Antigone. In the aftermath of a bloody civil war, Creon is trying to restore order. But his niece Antigone won’t accept his orders to leave her brother unburied. She’ll fight for what she believes is right. Whatever the cost.

In our production Creon’s PR team try to keep things under control as events of the day spiral towards tragedy.

Extinction Monologues

Have you met the Hainan Black Crested Gibbon? La Hotte Glanded Frog?

Have you spent time with the Silky Sifaka, or the Holy Grail Tree?

Had a pint with Franklin’s Bumblebee or the Sumatran Rhinoceros?

Spend some time with the Creation Rep Company and 101 of the most threatened animals, insects and plants on the planet.

Last summer Glyn Maxwell embarked on the project of writing 101 poems for the 101 species most at risk of extinction. Watch the Creation rep company bring the poems to life…
