Brave New World

1 July – 11 August 2018

Westgate Oxford

“Happiness has got to be paid for.”

This landmark production of Aldous Huxley’s dystopian masterpiece had audiences sitting on office chairs and experiencing the show through wireless headphones and a six metre long LED screen, with binaural sound mixed live each night. Performed in the Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford City centre.

Reviews

“The production, thought-provoking and entertaining and with great characterisation, is excellent. 5/5” Morning Star

What elevates this production to the status of theatrical masterpiece is the strength of the acting, eye-popping costume design and its setting – that temple to consumerism, the Westgate. This incredible, beautifully realised show will remain with you forever.” ★★★★★” The Oxford Times

“A thrillingly realised, site-specific, theatrical experience.” Newbury Weekly News

“Wow. One of Creation’s best – and that is quite an accolade bearing in mind how good other productions have been. “Staged” – not quite the right word – in the Westgate shopping centre with bemused shoppers wondering what is happening. Great adaptation, great setting, great direction and great acting. Just book and have an incredible evening – challenging and thought- provoking. And thoroughly enjoyable.” Audience member on TripAdvisor
