The Wind In The Willows

24 July - 8 August 2021

Sunnymead Meadow, Oxford

“The pageant of the river bank had marched steadily along,
unfolding itself in scene-pictures that succeeded itself in stately procession.”

After a year indoors, we took Kenneth Grahame’s children’s classic down to the scenic Sunnymead Meadow and gave it a home there for two weeks. Groups wandered through the river bank and the wild wood, meeting beloved characters (as well as a few new arrivals) and helped them with all sorts of activities in order to reach the end of the story.

Whether it was by hooking ducks with Ratty, delivering secret messages to Badger or even helping Toad defeat the evil Weasel, audiences were drawn paws-first into this joyful storybook adventure.

“a delightful detour into superb silliness”
