The Signalman

Our first ever show in this wonderfully atmospheric central Oxford venue conjured up a gloomy railway cutting and the relative safety of a signalbox, where we listened in on The Signalman and The Visitor’s exchanges. Jonathan Holloway’s (1984, Brave New World, Don Quixote) direction played with the grand scale on offer at Wesley Memorial Church Anna Tolputt, Nicholas Osmond and Herb Cuanalo of Creation’s Rep Company drew the audience in to a world of circling smog and disembodied drips. The perfect evening of spooky escapism.
