“I had rather hear my dog bark at a crow than a man swear he loves me.”
2023 was the summer we got back to our roots and got stuck in to a joyful, fun, fresh and gorgeous Much Ado About Nothing in the open air. To say the weather wasn’t kind to us is a bit of an understatement, but our wonderful audiences supported us nonetheless and we enjoyed lots of laughs, loud applause and the sound of rain on ponchos amongst the play equipment.

“There were children of four gazing open-mouthed and bursting into uncontrollable giggles as Benedick got a faceful of ice-cream while hiding in a bin, and there were seasoned theatre-goers in their seventies chuckling along as their glasses of Prosecco” Daily Info
“The audience was drawn down through the trees to a perfect theatrical dell, chairs arranged much like an amphitheatre where we were rewarded with a joyful, shapeshifting Shakespearian production.” Ox in a box
“Putting Much Ado in a time capsule and catapulting it to the Eighties was a dream – not only because the Adam and the Ant style jackets worked so well for the soldiers, but the music, dancing and vibrancy of the clothes gave the performance a real lift.” Muddy Stilettos
“Four of Creation’s repertory company perform in the show, led by Anna Tolputt’s elfin Benedick… a natural comedian, she’s excellent in bringing out the comedy in the role” Newbury Weekly News
